  • Dawezy.com
From the "The Land Down Under" comes Dawezy's Final Fantasy IV Network; a great FF4 site with a lot of his unique Aussie personality. In fact he's called it the "No Bullshit" Final Fantasy IV site. It may not be for everyone but I enjoy checking in from time to time. He also has a great collection of game sprites and other types of Final Fantasy IV artwork too.

Phoenix is an FF4 hacker who has documented a lot of the ROM and made some pretty cool patches to fix or enhance the original FF-II SNES version. He's also created a must-have utility: FF4Tools, it is invaluable if you're going to hack the maps, events, or dialogue banks.

  • Final Fantasy IV SFC 20th Anniversary English Translation Patch
This is a link to the RHDN Translation Archive for Final Fantasy IV. Here you can obtain the J2e Translations English patch for the original ("hard-type") Final Fantasy IV SFC ROM. The English game functionality is top notch, way better than the PSx "Chronicles" port and certainly runs much faster on the PC emulator than on the PSx hardware. However some find the script translation somewhat dubious because of some liberties taken by the J2e team. Nothing there bothers me I think it's quite well done, but it should be noted that some take issue. In any case if you don't read Japanese and can read English, this is definitely the way you want to be playing the original Final Fantasy IV SFC via emulation.

  • Ian Albert's Final Fantasy II SNES Maps Collection
This is a compilation of just about every map from the SNES version of Final Fantasy IV. Mr. Albert claims the maps are free for use. They may be helpful for game-trekkers or ROM hackers doing map edits.
